Designed to Provide Rugged Protection and Comfortable Viewing for Gen 7, 8 and 9 iPads, the Shield Extreme-X2 Case Features the Friction-Hinge FlexStand, Which Delivers Unlimited Viewing Angles

IRVINE, CA (September 12, 2022) — MAXCases, a leading manufacturer of protective cases and accessories for iPads, Chromebooks, laptops, and tablets, announced that its Shield Extreme-X2 case for iPad was recognized with two Tech & Learning Magazine 2022 Back to School Awards of Excellence, in both Primary and Secondary learning environment categories.

Designed to solve common challenges related to iPad case kickstands, the Shield Extreme-X2 friction-hinge FlexStand provides customizable positioning to add comfort and visibility for every student and educator. With movement similar to laptop screens, the FlexStand slides smoothly into unlimited and stable horizontal angles, including virtually flat against the worksurface, while also providing stable portrait positioning. With a durable design that is virtually breakproof, the FlexStand kickstand prevents the all-too-common occurrence of broken kickstands.

Additional durable features of the Shield Extreme-X2 include a layered edge-bumper that increases shock-resistance by combining soft TPE next to the iPad, which is then covered with durable shock-, grease-, and abrasion-resistant TPU. Extended top corners add protection for this vulnerable area. A commercial-grade protector safeguards the screen and can be removed and replaced as desired, or upgraded with clear or blue ballistic glass. Completing the full-surround protection is a back-panel is made of clear, rigid polycarbonate, which provides visibility to asset tags.

“As we head into another uncertain year in education, technology will continue to be one of the key drivers for innovation,” says Tech & Learning Group Publisher Christine Weiser. “Our judges chose the winning products recognized here for their versatility, compatibility, value, and ability to help schools solve challenges and support continuous instruction. Congratulations to all of our winners.”

With a snug, custom fit, the Shield Extreme-X2 case surrounds 10.2-inch iPads with long-lasting protection, while providing easy access to all ports and functions. The FlexStand kickstand opens easily using the slim finger-pull indentation, while clicking securely closed for storage. The clear back panel enables easy viewing and scanning of asset tags. Durable corner anchors enable the addition of MAXCases (optional) hand and shoulder straps, as well as accommodate any lanyard or clip-on accessory. The updated button design provides open access to buttons for a comfortable, tactile feel, while also providing protection.

“We are really excited about the benefits that the Shield Extreme-X2 case for iPad offers, and we are thrilled to be recognized by Tech & Learning with this award,” said MAXCases CEO Al Giazzon. “We are getting great feedback about the FlexStand, which we’re proud to say is unique in the industry. Customers love the adjustability, and it’s the most durable kickstand we’ve ever created. The entire case is simply all-around tough and ready to take on the rigors of the classroom and beyond.”
